Last night saw the launch of The Bird at Birtle, a gastro pub project by local chef Andrew Nutter, who runs Nutters Restaurant in Norden.
The night was attended by several TV stars, top chefs and many of Andrew's family, friends, and regular customers from Nutters Restaurant, and included several representatives from H Bell and Sons, the company responsible for the remarkable refurbishment of the old pub, and Paul Clark of CJ Partnership, the architect who carried out the design.
A great time was had by all, plied with excellent food food and plenty of alcohol, entertained by a three-piece band and solo singer Aaron Welby.
The transformation of the property is magnificent, and the location gives a wonderful sense of a country pub, with a great menu, and a fabulous way to while away the time with a meal and a few drinks.
